About Patrick

Meet Patrick McGuire.

Since 1986, Patrick has been practicing the art of hairdressing in Raleigh, NC. In 2007, he settled at the trendy David Wade Salon, a well-established shop located in Raleigh’s fashionable Glenwood South district.

Patrick transitioned from the David Wade Salon at the end of 2014 when David Wade decided to sell both his salon and the property before permanently retiring.

David was a great guy to work for and a heck of a hairdresser, and Patrick wishes him well.

This gave Patrick the opportunity to live out one of his dreams, to actually have his own place. After an exhausting search, Patrick found Salon AG on Hodges Street. After long negotiations and spending a lot of time and energy, Patrick found himself at the place where he hopes to one day retire.

He really enjoys having the experience of owning his own business, selling his own retail, and being in a stable location.

Raleigh hair salon Hair by Patrick McGuire opened its doors on January 3, 2015. Over his first year, Patrick has made a lot of developments and improvements to his website, making him very excited about the opportunities and growth in the upcoming years.

Patrick derives energy and influences from artists locally and from across the United States. Patrick takes advantage of educational opportunities from well-known manufacturers at local venues as well as traveling outside the state to destinations such as The Studio (Wella), Soho , New York City, N.Y., The TIGI Academy in New York City, N.Y., DevaCurl at Devachan Salon in Soho, NYC , Graham Webb Academy in Washington, D.C. and Martin Parsons in Toronto, Canada. His goal as a hairdresser is to provide clients with a look and style that translates into feelings of self-confidence and happiness whether for a special occasion or just a monthly visit.
